Welcome to Tornado Road Online
You've found the online home of the hottest new band in country music today. Playing on numerous recording sessions and on stage with some of the biggest names in country music, each member of Tornado Road has been honing their musical craft in Nashville, Tennessee for over a decade. And that's not to mention all the gymnasiums, frat houses and bars they've played over the years on their way up.
The band has teamed up with vocalists Billy Grantham, Case Crawford and the songwriting duo of Simms/Harrison to unleash their first album. "Playing Up A Storm" is a rollicking, good-time mix of Modern Country, Southern Rock, good old-fashioned honky-tonk and a little acoustic-based country. We've even thrown in a love song for the ladies.
And speaking of the ladies, "Playing Up A Storm" features some vocals by the Twister Sisters, a trio of sweet-singing, southern beauties that Nashville has somehow overlooked for the past 5 years. After hearing their background vocals on the band's signature rocker "Whiskey, Wheels, and Women", the group decided to let them have their own turn in front of the microphone and two of their songs are included here as bonus tracks.
